Q: Do you offer tours all over Japan?

A: At this time we only offer tours in Osaka, however we are open to inquiries for other cities. We specialize in creating custom special interest tours, but we also offer pre-built tours here. 

Q: How far in advance should I book?

A: We recommend booking at least a few weeks in advance to secure your preferred date, especially for custom experiences. Last-minute requests are possible but subject to availability.

Q: What tour is best for me?

A: At Yokai Wanderers, we craft unique tours to match your interests and curiosity about Osaka. Q: Are your tours accessible for people with mobility issues?

A: Most areas of Japanese cities involve walking on uneven surfaces, stairs, or older areas with limited accessibility. However, if you have mobility concerns, let us know directly—we’ll work as hard as we can to accommodate your needs and suggest the best routes! We may also need to limit the size of participants so that proper attention can be paid to safety. We want to accomidate your needs as best as we can.

Q: Are your tours in English?

A: Yes! Our tours are conducted in English, as both of us are native English speakers, however we also provide cultural insights and basic Japanese phrases to enhance your experience. Spanish language tours are available with Mora upon request, and with limited locations and availability. (Mora estudie español en escuela para nueve años y vivio en la Ciudad de Mexico y el Norte de California.) 

Q: Can I take photos during the tour?

A: Absolutely! We encourage you to capture your experience. However, some locations (temples, shrines, and certain shops) may have restrictions—we’ll guide you on when and where photography is appropriate. We also can offer photo shoots tailored to you, Marshall has over 10 years of experience in video production and photography. Q: What should I bring to my tour?

A: Comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, cash (most shops don’t accept cards), and a curious mind!

Q:What's the process for booking a custom tour?

A: First, book a free consultation meeting with us via our calendar here. 

At the online meeting, we will discuss your special interests, your travel history (i.e. have you been to Japan before, is this your first time in Osaka, etc.) , and any special needs you may have for your tour. 

After the meeting we will send over a price quote for your tour.

After collecting your deposit, we will come up with a custom tailor-made itinerary just for you which we will share with you before your trip.

The full cost of your tour must be paid in full before the day[s] of your tour.

We will then meet up with you for your tour and begin wandering!
